Benefits of the Internet

The internet is truly one of the best inventions that our generation has. We are indeed a lucky bunch because the internet has changed the way our lives normally work. It has changed the way businesses operate and even the way how children can learn new things. My five-year-old nephew uses the iPad like it's something that he has been using since he was one-year-old. Really, I find it weird that he can be so good at something so advanced when he's only five! He couldn't read when he started playing Xbox and Wii. Now, he's playing and chatting with his iPad without any help from any adults in the house.

The internet has also changed the way we do things – when we are going out for dinner with friends; we use our GPS or our iPhones to know the directions to the new restaurant. Even the places that are not so popular can be found on the internet like the nearest school of healing from your house, or the farthest adoption or abortion clinic from you. The world of education has also changed in a way that almost everything can be downloaded from the internet – books, articles, audio files, videos, etc. I also read an article about some interesting facts in the school alternative medicine and that’s online and for free! I am most thankful for the internet because of the opportunities that it has given to us most especially in communicating with our loved ones through social networking and email, wherever they may be.


Going Back To School

I’m thinking about going back to school because I have been working for 10 consecutive years in the same office and I haven't done anything that’s interesting for me. I am choosing between hairdressing and energy healing. Growing up in the East Coast, I have always been fascinated with the big hair of my mom and grandma. It would be interesting to be able to do that and all the modern hairstyles to my daughters. I am also considering taking classes about healing with energy simply because I find it very interesting and useful.

My daughter is always complaining about back pains. She's a dancer so she goes home with a lot of body aches especially after a dance practice. When she gets home, she loves to hang out in her room using her laptop that’s why her back is always strained. I want to stop taking her to her chiropractor so we can save money. So if I take the healing class, I can heal her by myself. Also, I have been reading a lot of information about this healing method and I think it will have a positive impact to our family. It will bring in more positive energy into our home and it will make us physically, mentally and emotionally healthy. I really hope that after I spend money on these classes I will be able to use them fully at home. I think that if I grab this chance of going back to school to do something other than work, it will make my life more exciting.





Relaxing At Work

As a yoga instructor, I meet a lot of people who ask for my advice on how to handle stress using breathing techniques or different exercises. I have a friend who works at a Minneapolis MN Law Firm and asked for my help on how to handle stress at work. I told her that the key breathing deeply from the abdomen and getting fresh air as much as possible in the lungs. When you do deep breaths, you are getting more oxygen into your system and this is a lot better than shallow breaths. Short breaths and tensed breaths are indications of anxiety. You have to sit with your back straight and put one hand on your chest, the other on your stomach. You have to breathe in through your nose. Make sure that when you breathe in, your stomach rises.

When you exhale, exhale with your mouth and not your nose. Push as much air as you can while contracting your abdominal muscles. Continue this kind of breathing for a few minutes and this routine will surely relax you. There are more ways on how to relax whenever you are at work. You can walk around to give yourself some exercise. It also relaxes tired and strained muscles. It's also a way to take your mind off from work because you get to see other people around you. You can also try doing nothing. If your boss catches you, just tell him that you are trying to rest for a bit. My friend seemed to find it effective that’s why she recommended me to all other professionals who work in a Minneapolis Law Firm.
